How It Works

Zen Swaddles are my little man's favorite ones. They cost more than some swaddles but you get what you pay for because these are quality swaddles. Here's what I love about them:

1. Super duper soft Peruvian cotton. Seems to get better after each wash. The fabric on the Classic is lighter so it's perfect for summer

2. There is a little pocket inside that makes these perfect swaddles for babies to grow into. He used the pocket when he was a newborn.

3. It's lightly weighted!!! Probably my favorite part and what makes these different than other swaddles. The little beads just brought a little extra comfort to him, he thought I was there holding him.

4. The soft big huge velcro. This makes it easy to swaddle them up fast because the velcro strips are so big.

5. This is much safer than receiving blankets and definitely the way to go. It's also great for babies with colic [like mine].

Cute packaging and perfect for gifts. My only suggestion is when washing it to velcro it shut.

Baby loves this Swaddle, we use it every night. Only took about a week for him to get used to it, now he loves it. Tried several, our baby took to this one the best, and it is also super easy to wrap him in.

Also, via my older review below: I had ordered blue and they sent white: I told them and they sent me a free Blue; definitely left me a satisfied customer who felt like they made up for the mistake well.

Our now 1 month old baby seems to be taking to it now, getting to sleep effectively. Took a little time, week or so, for him to get used to, and for us to strap him inside well enough. In the future, if he keeps getting to sleep great, I would change to 5 stars. Unfortunately though, the seller sent us a white colored one, when I ordered a blue, but oh well on that I guess.

I think this swaddle blanket is a great idea. We purchased this for our third baby when she was a month old. She was a tad small (early) and still is, weighing under 8lbs to 9lbs 5oz during our Zen Swaddler use thus far. The blanket is made of fabulous fabric, lovely design, and weights are as shown and explained.

I love the velcro location and strength and that it came with velcro covers (paired strips). Maybe that was for packaging and shipping, but they're great for washing as it keeps the swaddle blanket and other items safe (my non-Zen modern swaddlers do not have this velcro cover, must be velcroed to themselves and washed in fine mesh bags, and still manage to attack other laundry and themselves to cause minor damage). 

As we're experienced in traditional swaddling, she has room to grow into this blanket a bit, and I don't want to have the velcro sounds disturb her during nighttime changes or adjustments, we just keep the velcro covers on (don't use the velcro for swaddling at this time). 

Since she's small, and the fabric is stretchy, it wraps around her for a very secure swaddling solution (even without the velcro). She's a pretty calm baby and sleeps well, but does (as she should) prefer to be held and cuddled to sleep. She seems to enjoy being cuddled by the Classic Zen Swaddle blanket for nap times and bedtime.
